Egolino is for adults, 18 and over. He isn't built for romance, and he isn't a therapist.
WHAT YOU NEED
An Android phone with Android 9 or newer. For On-Device, also about 3 to 5 GB of free space. We test On-Device on phones with 8 GB of RAM or more. The iPhone version comes later.

Ask him
“Text my mom that I'll be late.” He gets it ready, you tap send, and he has something to say about it.
Your phone, your chats
With On-Device your chats stay on your phone. With Cloud or an API key, they go to the provider shown in the app, including its country, and only after you agree.
QUESTIONS
What is the best AI companion app?
That depends on what you want. If you want someone to role-play with or to date, Egolino isn't for you. If you want a little being on your phone that you can read along with, it is.
Does he remember me?
He remembers a lot of what you tell him about yourself. He can still forget something or get it wrong.
Does he tell other people what I say?
Not at launch: he doesn't send anything to your contacts on his own. When friends arrive later, he may mention general things to other Egolinos, never anything intimate.
