A personal AI assistant for Android, with a personality.
Say it in plain words. An Egolino gets the message ready, and you just tap send. He adds appointments once you confirm, sets alarms and timers, takes notes, and has something to say about all of it.
Egolino / AI assistant
Text my mom that I'll be late.
It's ready in WhatsApp. Just tap send.
I've got a job interview on Friday.
Noted. Good luck on Friday.
Dentist on Tuesday at three.
Tuesday at three. Say yes and it goes in your calendar.
Do a flip.
Tap it. I'll do it right here.
Examples, not real conversations. He gets messages and calls ready. Sending and dialing is up to you.
ON YOUR DEVICE, IF YOU WANT
On-Device
The model runs on your phone, a one-time download of about 3 to 5 GB. Your chats stay there. We test it on phones with 8 GB of RAM or more.
Cloud
Faster and with more depth. Your chats go to the provider shown in the app, including its country, and only after you agree. Available later as a subscription.
API key
Already have one? Enter it, and he runs on your own account. Your chats go to the provider shown in the app, only after you agree, and the costs are yours.
WHAT MAKES HIM DIFFERENT
He has character
He's in a good mood or a bad one, and you hear it. The job gets done either way.
You stay in charge
He gets messages and calls ready. You tap send or dial yourself.
WHAT HE WON'T DO
He doesn't send anything on his own, and he doesn't operate your phone for you. He can make mistakes, so check anything important.
WHAT YOU NEED
An Android phone with Android 9 or newer. For On-Device, also about 3 to 5 GB of free space. We test On-Device on phones with 8 GB of RAM or more.
QUESTIONS
Is there an AI assistant for Android that runs on the device?
Yes. With On-Device he downloads a language model once, about 3 to 5 GB depending on the phone. After that he answers without internet, and your chats stay on your phone. On older phones he answers more slowly.
Does it replace the assistant on my phone?
You can use him for what you'd normally say to it: messages, appointments, alarms, notes. Your phone's own assistant stays where it is.
Do I need a subscription?
No. On-Device runs without one, and you can also enter your own API key. A Cloud subscription, the faster option, is coming.
Is it available on iPhone?
Not yet. Android only for now.
